"We're pleased to have Ivan locked up for the next six years," Flyers general manager Chuck Fletcher said in a release. "Over the course of his young career, he has developed into one of the top young defensemen in the NHL. His commitment to the game and his teammates is second to none. He will be an important part of our success for years to come."
Provorov scored seven goals and added 19 assists for the Flyers in 82 games last season. He has yet to miss a game since making his NHL debut in 2016-17.
The 22-year-old was the fifth overall pick by the Flyers in 2015.
The Flyers open their preseason schedule Sept. 16 against the Islanders.
