World Junior Championship 2018: Flames' prospect Ruzicka scores bizarre own-goal image

With his team trailing Finland 3-2 in the third period of a World Junior Championship group game Saturday night, Slovakia center Adam Ruzicka won a defensive zone faceoff so cleanly that it fooled his own goaltender Roman Durny and found the back of the net.

It was rotten luck for the 2017 fourth round draft pick of the Calgary Flames, who has 39 points in 34 games for the OHL's Sarnia Sting this season.

Ruzicka has registered one assist and seven shots on goal in Slovakia's three games this tournament. The goal was credited to Finland center Joni Ikonen, who lost the draw on the play.

Finland added another third-period goal and beat Slovakia 5-2.
