Connor McDavid continues to write his name in the record books.
The Edmonton Oilers traveled to Manitoba to face the Winnipeg Jets on Thursday with McDavid sitting on 299 career points. It seemed inevitable that the Oilers captain would cross the 300-point threshold, and he did just that when he registered an assist on Darnell Nurse's fortuitous goal at the 6:04 mark of the second period.
The assist made McDavid the eighth-youngest player to reach 300 NHL points, and just the ninth in history to hit the mark before his 22nd birthday.

It was just the 240th game in McDavid's career.

McDavid wasn't done, however. The young superstar dished off his second assist of the night late in the second period, receiving a spectacular no-look pass from Leon Draisaitl before feeding Alex Chiasson in front of the net.
