The Florida Panthers and Las Vegas Golden Knights are both one win away from punching their tickets to the 2023 Stanley Cup Final. The Panthers are up 3-0 games over the Hurricanes in the Eastern Conference Final, while the Golden Knights hold a 3-0 series lead over the Stars in the Western Conference Finals.
With both teams on the verge of getting to the Stanley Cup Final, it's a great time to look at the latest odds for the Conn Smythe Trophy. Last season, Avalanche defenseman Cale Makar won the Conn Smythe after scoring a team-high 29 points (eight goals and 21 assists) in the playoffs. Makar was a star in the Stanley Cup Final against the Lightning, recording seven points (three goals and four assists) and leading Colorado to a six-game series win.
Looking ahead to this year's Conn Smythe race, Panthers' goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky is the betting favorite to take home the award at +200 odds. However, Bobrovsky is far from a lock. Golden Knights center Jack Eichel (+375) has the second-best odds, while Vegas' Mark Stone and Panthers left wing Matthew Tkachuk each have +550 odds.
Below, we'll look at the latest odds from BetMGM for the Conn Smythe Trophy before discussing a couple of sleepers bettors should have on their radar.

Conn Smythe Odds 2023: Favorites
Sergei Bobrovsky, Panthers (+200). The 34-year-old goaltender has been one of the best between the pipes in this year's postseason. Bobrovsky currently has the fifth-best goals-against average (2.15) and the fourth-best save percentage (.935). However, the vet leads all goaltenders in wins (10) and will look to add at least five more to his 2023 postseason resume.
Bobrovsky is trying to become the seventh goaltender to win the Conn Smythe Trophy since 2000. The last goaltender to win the award was Andrei Vasilevskiy of the Lightning in 2021. During Tampa Bay's title run, he had a 16-7 record, a .937 save percentage, and a 1.90 goals-against average. If Bobrovsky wants to etch his name in the history books, he will need to have a strong performance in the net in the Stanley Cup potentially against a Vegas team scoring 3.71 goals per game. Bobrovsky has allowed just three goals through the first three games against the Hurricanes and will look to close them out in Game 4, paving the way for the proverbial "hot goalie" to take home the award and merit a wager.
Jack Eichel, Golden Knights (+375). The 26-year-old center has had a good postseason thus far for Vegas, who are only one win away from going back to their second Stanley Cup Final in franchise history. Eichel has scored the sixth-most points in the postseason (16), including three power play goals. The former second-overall pick hasn't scored a goal yet against Dallas, but he does have two assists and seven shots on goal.
Vegas will need him to do a little bit of everything, as he has a great collection of goal scorers surrounding him in Chandler Stephenson, Jonathan Marchessault, and William Karlsson, who have scored seven goals apiece. Last year, we saw Makar rack up 21 assists in the postseason, so there's a path for Eichel to do the same thing and pay off this bet.

Conn Smythe Odds 2023: Sleepers
Adin Hill, Golden Knights (+1600). For the Golden Knights to win their first Stanley Cup in franchise history, they will need continued excellent play from Hill in net. The 27-year-old has quietly been a star in the postseason, posting the third-best goals-against average (.196) and the second-best save percentage (.940).
Hill didn't make his first 2023 playoff start until Game 4 in the second round against the Oilers, replacing injured goaltender Laurent Brossoit. Since taking over for Brossoit, Hill has recorded one shutout and done an incredible job of standing firm in the net. If Hill can lead the Golden Knights to the Stanley Cup, he should be able to hold his own against Florida's offense, which is scoring 3.07 goals per game and has 10 power play goals. With another strong-to-dominant series, Hill has a real chance to return great ROI on a small wager.
Roope Hintz, Stars (+5000). Even though the Stars are in a 3-0 hole, we have to acknowledge the play of Hintz this postseason. Hintz likely doesn't stand a chance to win the Conn Smythe Trophy unless his team can pull a 2010 Flyers and win the conference final. The 26-year-old center leads the postseason with 26 points and has scored the second-most goals (10).
Hintz has been held without a goal and assist in the past two games, but for Dallas to force a Game 5, it will need him to find the back of the net. It's unlikely that Hintz wins the award, but his odds will only shorten with each game Dallas wins, so if you believe in the Stars, now's the time to lay down a small wager.
