Chicago Blackhawks goalie Corey Crawford suffered a concussion after hitting his head on a goalpost in a 7-3 loss to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday.
The team placed the netminder on injured reserve on Monday, making him inactive for at least the next week. Crawford also entered concussion protocol.
Crawford's injury came in the first period when teammate Dylan Strome collided with him after he saved a Logan Couture shot. While there was no blow to the head on the initial hit, Crawford's hit snapped back and hit a goalpost, dislodging the net.

Sunday's concussion diagnosis comes nearly a year after Crawford suffered a concussion that caused him to miss 52 games during the 2017-18 season. After missing the first six games of this season, Crawford made his return on Oct. 18 against Arizona Coyotes.
Crawford is 6-14-2 with a .903 save percentage and 3.23 goals-against average in 22 starts this season.
