Sean Monahan is in his sixth NHL season. He has scored at least 20 goals six times.

The 24-year-old centre notched a pair of goals for the Calgary Flames in a 6-5 overtime win over the Philadelphia Flyers on Wednesday, pushing him to the 20-goal mark with more than half the season still left to play.

Monahan's first goal came midway through the second period with the Flames down by two. The power play marker brought Calgary to back within one.

The Flyers re-established their two-goal cushion in the third period, but the Flames stormed back thanks to a pair of late goals. Rasmus Andersson scored at 18:52 before Monahan got his second of the game — the tying goal — with just seven seconds left in regulation.

Monahan then dished off an assist on Johnny Gaudreau's game-winner in overtime to complete his impressive night.

Monahan scored 22 goals in his rookie campaign (2013-14) and has not yet finished a season with a lower goal total. His career high is 31 goals, a mark he has achieved twice.
