From 2017 to 2022, the Maple Leafs lost five first round playoff games, creating one of the worst postseason curses in professional sports. They finally broke the streak last year, winning their first round series (before losing in the second round).

Now, they face Boston, who's trying to avoid that curse themselves.

The Bruins had the best record in the league last year by a long shot, winning 65 games. Then they went and lost in the first round of the playoffs. Boston and Toronto will face off with more than a second round series on the line.

The Maple Leafs have some of the best scorers in the league. Auston Matthews leads the NHL with 69 goals while William Nylander has 40 on the season. But they'll have to find their way around David Pastrnak and Brad Marchand, the Bruins' biggest stars on a deep squad.

Toronto and Boston have a lot to prove in this year's battle for the Stanley Cup.
