Longtime Bruins goalie Tuuka Rask left Tuesday's game against the Columbus Blue Jackets after taking a fist to the head.
Just one minute and 12 seconds into the contest, Rask left the ice and headed for the quiet room to be evaluated for a concussion. Blue Jackets forward Emil Bemstrom made contact with the right side of Rask's head using his glove and holding the butt-end of his stick while skating across the crease.
The hit looked incidental but the Bruins goalie has been ruled out for the remainder of the game with an upper-body injury.
