Just when Oskar Sundqvist thought his year couldn't get any better, his team nearly quadrupled his salary.
The Blues on Sunday announced they have signed the center to a four-year contract extension worth $11 million that carries an average annual value of $2.75 million.
Sundqvist's contract for last season paid him $700,000, and he avoided arbitration by agreeing to a new deal.

Sundqvist, 25, played a pivotal role in St. Louis' Stanley Cup run as he set career highs in goals (14), assists (17) and points (31) through 75 regular-season games. He added four goals and five assists in 25 playoff games.
He also served a one-game suspension in Game 3 of the Stanley Cup Final for his hit on Bruins defenseman Matt Grzelcyk.
The Blues re-signed another piece of their Stanley Cup championship roster by inking goalie Ville Husso to a one-year contract on Saturday.
