Best NHL prop bets tonight: William Nylander, Filip Forsberg highlight top parlay picks for Tuesday image

One week after the NHL's "Frozen Frenzy" experiment concluded, it's right back to reality as the league has just two games on the menu tonight. The Kings travel north of the border to battle the Maple Leafs, while the nightcap sees the Predators also head to Canada for a showdown in Vancouver against the Canucks. It's a very Canadian evening in the NHL, with ESPN showcasing all of the action on the ice.

With just two games, our menu of props is similar to a fancy restaurant's. The menu might be small and the portions even smaller, but a tiny slate can allow us to focus and hone in on a few targets, which is exactly what we have prepared for you here. This is how we're attacking the Tuesday slate on SuperDraft this Halloween evening, hoping that our picks are more treats than tricks.

SuperDraft users can win 3X the amount wagered if their two-legged player prop parlay hits. If all four of the props below hit, users will win 10x their entry. In other words, a $20 entry fee will yield a $200 payout. the more legs you add to your player prop parlay, the larger your potential payout becomes, but as the long odds indicate, completing a clean sweep is challenging.

Below, we'll break down four of our favorite player props for Tuesday night's NHL slate. Users don't necessarily have to parlay all four picks together, though. Instead, you could make separate two-legged parlays to increase your win probability or attempt to hit it big if all four picks come through.

Best NHL prop bets today: SuperDraft player prop picks for Tuesday

*10x potential payout if users parlay all four correct picks

1. William Nylander, RW, Maple Leafs vs. Kings — OVER 3.5 shots on goal

Nylander has registered at least four shots on goal in five-of-eight games to start the year. Situated as the top scoring option on the Leafs' second line, Nylander is the go-to guy when it comes to shooting the puck outside the top line. His 34 shots on goal this season are second on the team behind Auston Matthews, and we like Nylander to keep firing. He has 58 shot attempts this season and is also a fixture on the top power play unit. There is plenty of opportunity for the winger to put up a crooked number if some of those attempts stop getting blocked or missing the net.

2. Kevin Fiala, LW, Kings @ Maple Leafs — OVER 0.5 assists

Fiala is eight games into his 2023-24 season, and he's already racked up 10 assists. The only game he failed to record an assist was in the Kings' opener, but he's now hit this OVER in seven straight. It's become clear that Fiala is the setup guy for Pierre-Luc Dubois and Alex Laferriere, taking a backseat in the scoring department and playing the role we'd expect from a floor general in basketball. But this is on ice, and Fiala's game might start melting it if he remains on fire any longer. Expect him to find at least one assist tonight, especially with his role on the No. 1 power play unit.

3. Elias Pettersson, C, Canucks vs. Predators — UNDER 3 shots on goal

The Canucks might want to start practicing shots a little more and reintroduce Pettersson to the net that's outlined by two red posts and a matching crossbar. The center hasn't been able to find many shots on goal this season, beating this number just once in eight tries, managing to land on exactly three in one other contest. He's attempted 38 shots, but only 15 have been deemed on goal. According to MoneyPuck, Pettersson is currently missing the net at a 37.5-percent clip on shots that weren't blocked. That would be a career high if he maintains that over the course of the season. The Canucks might've jumped out to a 5-2-1 record through eight games, but they will need Pettersson to get right for their success to continue. We're going to fade him until that happens.

4. Filip Forsberg, LW, Predators @ Canucks — OVER 3.5 shots on goal

Forsberg is OVER this number in six-of-eight games this season, continuing to be the driving force behind Nashville's offense. The interesting thing as it relates to Forsberg's numbers is that he only has one goal in the team's eight games. That is destined to change for the player who leads the team in shots with 36. In addition, Forsberg posted four shots on goal in the Predators' previous meeting against the Canucks, which came a week ago. A fixture on the power play, the winger is in a position to keep firing as he tries to start finding the back of the net more than he does the goalie that's standing in front of it.
