It only took 187 games for Auston Matthews to reach the 100 goal mark.
The 21-year-old Toronto Maple Leafs star reached the triple-digit milestone on Thursday in Las Vegas, when his second-period goal put his team up 3-2 against the Golden Knights.
Matthews' goal came on the power play. He put a low wrist shot past Golden Knights goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury before unleashing a guttural roar to celebrate the occasion.
The first overall pick in the 2016 NHL draft, Matthews reached triple digits faster than any other Leaf in decades.
Among players to begin their NHL career with @MapleLeafs, only 2 required fewer personal GP than @AM34 to score their first 100 career regular-season goals all with the franchise:
