2018 Stadium Series: Image leaks of possible Maple Leafs jersey image

After the Washington Capitals received mixed reviews for the jerseys they'll be wearing in the 2018 Stadium Series, the jerseys their opponent will be wearing for that outdoor tilt, the Toronto Maple Leafs, may finally have been revealed.

On Wednesday, the Twitter account Hockey Jersey Concepts sent out an image that could be the jersey the Maple Leafs wear for its outdoor game March 3 at the Naval academy.

There are a few visible details on this leaked image, including the words "honour" and "pride" in a stripe along the left sleeve. "Honour, pride, and courage" are all printed on the Maple Leafs regular sweater inside the collar.

"Conn Smythe spoke of his team wearing the Maple Leafs bade with 'honour, pride and courage' and those words are now stitched into the collar of each swear so that our players, and fans, are reminded of that every time they put it on," Brendan Shanahan said in an explanation of the Leafs current sweater on Toronto's website. (It's possible that 'courage' appears somewhere on the Stadium Series sweater that is out of view in that frame.)

NHL Trade Rumors: Josh Leivo reportedly requests out of Maple Leafs

Replacing those three words in the collar on the leaked image are 'Ready. Aye. Ready.' The Canadian naval motto is "parati vero parati," and the three English words are a translation of that.

This would be the second specialty jerseys the Maple Leafs will have worn season, having also dressed in new threads for the NHL's Centennial game against the Carolina Hurricanes.
