'Zeke who?': Jerry Jones jokes after Tony Pollard's impressive performance in Cowboys' win image

Ezekiel Elliott seemed to be far from Jerry Jones' mind on Saturday.

The Cowboys owner joked following his team's 14-10 victory over the Rams, and running back Tony Pollard was a popular topic of discussion.

Pollard finished with 42 yards on five carries and one touchdown.

After the game, reporters posed the question: Will Pollard be the best negotiator when it comes to working out a new contract with Elliott?

"Who? Now Zeke who?," Jones said, via The Dallas Morning News.

Jones' jokes didn't stop there. He then motioned to a camera and sent Elliott a message.

"We're having some fun, not at your expense," he said.

The absent Elliott returned to Texas late this week after his holdout-turned-personal training session in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

He is still in the middle of a contract dispute with the team and has not yet reported to the Cowboys' training camp.

Elliott will not return to the team without a new deal, an ESPN report noted, citing a source close to the situation. He has one year left on his rookie contract as well as a fifth-year team option.

The same report added it is unlikely Elliott will hold out into the regular season.

Dallas opens its season Sept. 8 against the Giants.
