The Falcons are off to a hot start in 2017, but they'll have to play without the reigning NFL sacks leader for at least the next month.

Vic Beasley suffered a slight hamstring tear during the second half of Sunday night's win over the Falcons, WSB reported Monday.

The third-year pro out of Clemson led the NFL with 15.5 sacks on the way to earning first-team All-Pro status and a Pro Bowl selection in 2016. He already had picked up a sack in each of the Falcons' first two games this season.

In his absence, 2017 first-round pick Takk McKinley could see an increase in playing time.
