Vernon Hargreaves injury update: Buccaneers cornerback could reportedly miss rest of season image

Vernon Hargreaves’ season could be over after one game.

The 23-year-old cornerback suffered a potential season-ending shoulder injury in the Buccaneers’ 48-40 win over the Saints last weekend, according to a report from ESPN. Hargreaves will receive a second opinion Wednesday, the report says.

Hargreaves tallied seven total tackles, a pass breakup and a forced fumble in Tampa Bay’s victory.

The defensive back was originally selected out of Florida by the Buccaneers with the 11th pick in the 2016 draft. He has recorded 125 total tackles and broken up 16 passes in 26 career games.

The Buccaneers signed veteran corner Marcus Williams on Tuesday. They also recently worked out Bashaud Breeland, according to an earlier ESPN report.
