Not that Tom Brady cares after the Patriots' loss to the Eagles in Super Bowl 52, but the quarterback set an NFL postseason record for passing yards in a game Sunday.
Brady finished the game with 505 yards, on 28-of-48 passing, with three touchdowns and no interceptions. The previous postseason mark had been 489 yards, by Browns quarterback Bernie Kosar in 1987.
But Brady would trade his big numbers for a do-over on the play that doomed the Pats, where he fumbled just before the two-minute warning in the fourth. The play allowed the Eagles to kick an insurance field goal as they went on to win, 41-33.
Brady set the Super Bowl yardage record last year, when he passed for 466 yards in the Pats' comeback victory against the Falcons.
400+ - The @Patriots' Tom Brady is the first quarterback ever with two games with 400+ passing yards in the #SuperBowl. Repeat. #NotDone

The previous Super Bowl yardage record had been 414 yards, set by Rams quarterback Kurt Warner against the Titans in Super Bowl 34 in 2000. Warner still has the fourth-highest yardage game in Super Bowl history, with 377, while Eagles quarterback Nick Foles moved to fifth on the list with 373 yards against the Patriots.
