The NFL included the late Aaron Hernandez in an “In Memoriam” video tribute before Super Bowl 52 at U.S. Bank Stadium.
Although Hernandez only made a brief appearance in a multi-photo slide, media and fans noticed.
The In Memoriam tribute just now, showing the NFL players who died this past year, included Aaron Hernandez.

Hernandez, who played for the Patriots from 2010-12, was convicted of murder of Odin Lloyd in 2015. He killed himself in prison earlier this year, just a few days after he was acquitted of the double murder of Safiro Furtado and Daniel de Abreu .
I think that was the exact right way to handle it. Shouldn't be ignored, shouldn't be celebrated.
