You've been waiting all day for Sunday night, and with good reason. That tends to be where the NFL schedules its best prime-time games of the season.
Thanks to the benefits of flex scheduling, the NFL and NBC are often able to put two of the league's better teams front and center for NBC's weekly showcase game. That leads to high ratings, which please the NFL and NBC alike.
And NFL fans? They just want to see a good game, something that hasn't always happened in prime time in recent seasons.
Still, it's hard to beat the spectacle that is "Sunday Night Football." The announcer duo of Mike Tirico and Cris Collinsworth is engaging, along with the ever-informative sideline reporter Melissa Stark. And what better way to kick off a game than by listening to Carrie Underwood's legendary pregame anthem?
Yes, there are many reasons to watch — and enjoy — "Sunday Night Football." Here's when you can do that in 2023 and the easiest ways for cord-cutters to get access to the games.
