Pittsburgh signed Moncrief to a two-year deal worth $9 million in free agency with the hope that he could fill the void left by Antonio Brown's departure, though the 26-year-old finishes his short stint with four receptions for 18 yards.
Moncrief, selected by Indianapolis in the third round of the 2014 draft, joined the Steelers after spending four seasons with the Colts and one with the Jaguars. He caught 48 passes for 668 yards and three touchdowns in 16 games for Jacksonville last season.
The Steelers (3-4) are slated to host the Colts (5-2) at 1 p.m. ET Sunday.
