Seahawks defensive tackle Malik McDowell was arrested early Sunday after causing a disturbance outside an Atlanta-area nightclub.

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, the former Michigan State star and a friend were both arrested on disorderly conduct charges after the incident around 2:30 a.m. ET. They were later released on $325 bond.

McDowell, the Seahawks' second-round pick (No. 35 overall) in this year's draft, suffered a concussion in an ATV incident this summer and will not play this season.

According to the Journal-Constitution, the police report says McDowell allegedly began yelling at bouncers outside the SL Lounge in Chamblee, claiming he had given the club $600 and wanted it back.

“I want my (expletive) money, I paid for my car to be parked and a (expletive) section,” McDowell allegedly said.

After being admitted into the club, McDowell and his friend were escorted off the property after pouring out two bottles of alcohol.

Outside the club, McDowell began yelling at police officers who had responded to the incident. According to the New York Post, one officer described McDowell's actions as a "tantrum" in the police report.

“I repeatedly had to give him instructions and at one point he threw himself down on the ground in a tantrum,” the officer stated in the report. “He immediately accused me of stealing money from him, while I began to search his person, before placing him inside my vehicle, as we are trained to do. I tried to reason with him but to no avail.”

According to a TMZ.com report of the incident, McDowell cursed at the officers, saying, "F--- both of ya'll hoe ass n-----, p---- ass cops, I bet I get out, I got more money than ya'll, ya'll ain't got enough money for me, p---- ass crackers, broke ass n-----." The website notes that the arresting officer said she almost tased and pepper sprayed McDowell for refusal to comply.

The Seattle Times reported Sunday the Seahawks had no comment about the reports because they were just learning about the situation.

McDowell drew some heat on social media Monday for "liking" a TMZ report of the incident on his Twitter account.
