Saints coach Sean Payton was impressed by Teddy Bridgewater's play Sunday.
The 26-year-old quarterback replaced an injured Drew Brees and led New Orleans to a 33-27 road win over the Seahawks. Payton was asked about Bridgewater's performance during his postgame press conference.
"I was proud of the way he played," Payton said. "He's someone who, if you really follow his career, he's kind of won wherever he's been. ... He did that today."

Bridgewater, making only his second start since suffering a career-threatening leg injury with the Vikings in August 2016, completed 19 of his 27 passes for 177 yards with two touchdowns in the victory. Bridgewater said he was emotional before the game.
"I was just thinking about the process, from the time I was injured, up until now," Bridgewater told reporters. "Just thinking about all the ones who believed in me and just being back on this stage and getting to show how faithful God is, all my emotions were just running at the same time."
Saints running back Alvin Kamara was a top target for Bridgewater, finishing with nine receptions for 92 yards and a score. He also added 69 yards and another touchdown on the ground.

"He's like a human joystick," Bridgewater said about Kamara. "You give him the ball, he's spinning, he's juking, he's bouncing off of guys. As a quarterback, when you can throw him a screen and you just watch the play happen, it's like, 'Man this guy, he's a bad man.' We're glad he's on our team and he's one of the leaders on offense."
Brees, who underwent surgery on his thumb and is reportedly expected to miss about six weeks, reacted to the team's win on Twitter.
"So proud of our TEAM!" Brees wrote. "Who Dat baby!"
