Robert Griffin III signed a two-year, $4.5 million contract extension with the Ravens last week to remain as Lamar Jackson’s backup, but a chunk of that may have to go to a disgruntled former agent.

According to a lawsuit filed in the U.S. District Court’s Eastern District of Missouri last week, Griffin failed to pay former agent Ben Dogra $658,975.57 for his share of marketing and endorsement deals.

Dogra claims Griffin fired him as his agent in 2018 without paying him what he was owed.

In court documents obtained by Yahoo, Dogra said he and Griffin agreed on the monetary split “since the first invoice in 2014,” which included $389,803 in fees. Dogra invoiced Griffin for $258,559 in fees in 2015 and $58,714 in 2016.

Griffin allegedly only made payments totaling $49,346 toward the three-year total of $707,076 according to the lawsuit.

Still only 29 years old, Griffin has earned $29.2 million as an NFL quarterback, according to Spotrac.com. That number does not include endorsement earnings.
