The Ravens will not place the franchise tag on star linebacker C.J. Mosley, ESPN reported Monday.
The 26-year-old Mosley, a four-time, second-team All-Pro, is expected to become an unrestricted free agent on March 13. The team had until March 5 to tag Mosley.

If the Ravens don't reach an agreement with Mosley, their first-round pick (No. 17 overall) in 2014, he'll command a premium in free agency. Mosley led the Ravens with 105 tackles last season, and also added a half sack and an interception. He now has nine career interceptions.
Mosley posted a cryptic Instagram video of himself last Friday, in which he seemed to indicate he wanted to stay in Baltimore.
“Don’t franchise me or sign me, see what happens,” Mosley said, while standing in a heavy snowfall. "I’m not in Alabama, I’m not in Atlanta, or LA, or Florida, I’m in this b— (snowstorm).
"But I ain’t loyal? Alright, bet. Try me … Try me.”
