The top-seeded Ravens will look to advance to the AFC championship for the first time since the 2012 season when the face the fourth-seeded Texans in the divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday, Jan. 20.
The Ravens finished the season with the best record in the conference at 13-4 and enjoyed a bye for the first round of the playoffs. Quarterback Lamar Jackson was named first team All-Pro and had the AFC’s second highest completion percentage (67.2 percent), passer rating (102.7) and touchdown-to-interception ratio (3.4).
Jackson threw for a career-high 3,678 yards with 24 touchdowns and seven interceptions. He also produced the NFL’s most rushing yards (821) by a quarterback with five rushing touchdowns.
Inside linebacker Roquan Smith and second-year safety Kyle Hamilton were also named first team All-Pro for the Ravens.
Baltimore became the first team in league history to finish a season ranked No. 1 in points allowed (16.5 points per game), sacks (60) and takeaways (31, tied with Giants).
Baltimore beat Houston, 25-9, in the 2023 regular-season opener. The Ravens' defense limited the Texans to 7-for-18 (38.9 percent) on third down and 1-for-4 (25 percent) on fourth down while holding them without a touchdown on two red-zone drives.
Houston is back in the playoffs for the first time since 2019 as the AFC South champion.
The Texans routed the Browns, 45-14, in the wild-card round of the playoffs. Rookie C.J. Stroud threw for 274 yards and three touchdowns and became the youngest quarterback to win a playoff game.
The Texans also returned two interceptions for touchdowns off Browns quarterback Joe Flacco.
