NFL Pro Bowl skills competition live results: Updated standings, winners, highlights from 2024 AFC vs. NFC games image

The NFC narrowly earned a win at the 2024 Pro Bowl Games, defeating the AFC 64-59, but the skills competitions were largely one-sided.

While the AFC made up ground in the flag football contest, the NFC managed win after win in individual skills contests  \and padded their lead every time the AFC cut into it on the field.

The NFC won each skill competition other than dodgeball, high stakes, and kick-tac-toe, dominating in newly added tug-of-war on Sunday and showcasing strength in both the gridiron gauntlet and move-the-chains.

This Pro Bowl format makes each competition critical, so the points won by CeeDee Lamb's Madden skills and Bryan Anger's golf game can't be ignored. Without wins in both of those competitions, the AFC would've walked away with a win.

As the NFL tinkers with the lineup and continues to figure out the best format for the Pro Bowl Games, it's clear the players are having fun. The NFC prevailed by a wide margin in this year's skills contests, and a strong defensive finish to the flag football game kept the lead intact for the conference.

Here's a look at the final Pro Bowl standings and complete skills competition results.

NFL Pro Bowl skills competition scoring

The winning conference in each skill competition will earn points, with more points available during the first two flag football games before the final flag football game.

There are nine skills competitions this year, up from eight in 2023, plus the three flag football games. Tug-of-war has been added to the lineup, while the closest-to-the-pin competition replaces last year's longest drive contest in a golf shakeup and high stakes replaces the lightning round.

The conference with the most points between the skills competitions and flag football games will win the 2024 Pro Bowl Games.

Pro Bowl gridiron gauntlet results

Penei Sewell pushes Jason Kelce across the finish line to give the NFC a gridiron gauntlet win! Now that was fun, all the way down to an exciting finish. The AFC has done well on the flag football field, but the NFC is starting to clean up in the skills competitions.

UPDATE: The NFC has won another gridiron gauntlet! Three more points on the board.

Pro Bowl move-the-chains results

The NFC prevailed in the move-the-chains competition, though the contest took just about everything Buccaneers OT Tristan Wirfs had.

The win pushed the NFC in front of the AFC by an overall score of 22-21.

Pro Bowl tug-of-war results

The NFC made tug-of-war look way too easy, dropping the AFC into the pit with ease. A show of strength, led by Dexter Lawrence!

The NFC would win two tug-of-war competitions in this best-of-three, continuing its dominance of the skills contests and picking up three points to extend their lead heading into the final quarter of flag football.

Pro Bowl kick-tac-toe results

Who else but Ravens K Justin Tucker would win kick-tac-toe? He beats out Dallas' Brandon Aubrey and cuts into the NFC's lead to make it 12-9.

Pro Bowl snap shots results

Eagles center Jason Kelce and Vikings long snapper Andrew DePaola combined for 14 points to propel the NFC to victory in a contest all about snapping the ball.

Pro Bowl dodgeball results

The offenses won the night in the dodgeball competition, as both the AFC and NFC offenses prevailed against the opposing conference's defense. That gives each conference an additional three points.

Pro Bowl closest to the pin results

The NFC claimed the closest to the pin win, and the rest of the conference can thank the Cowboys. After TE Jake Ferguson took the lead with a great shot, Cowboys punter Bryan Anger had the best shot of the day to earn three points.

Pro Bowl high stakes results

The AFC wins the high stakes competition! Steelers special teamer Miles Killebrew catches six footballs and gets the three points for the AFC.

Pro Bowl best catch results

Fans voted Puka Nacua the best catch winner, giving the NFC an additional three points.

7:34 p.m. — Now Browns TE David Njoku makes a mid-air catch (maybe?) off of a backflip into a pool. His pass came from Chad Henne. We await the fan-voted winner on Sunday...

7:33 p.m. — The pre-taped video shows Rams WR Puka Nacua making a catch while...waterskiing? His quarterback was Jimmy Clausen, naturally.

Pro Bowl precision passing results

Baker Mayfield won the precision passing contest, drilling the most valuable targets in the first round to be the NFC's representative in the final. Mayfield beat out Texans QB C.J. Stroud in the final round.

Final

Player Points
Baker Mayfield 9
C.J. Stroud 8

First round

Player Points
Baker Mayfield 24
Geno Smith 20
Jalen Hurts 17
C.J. Stroud 26
Gardner Minshew 21
Tua Tagovailoa 16

7:30 p.m. — Mayfield wins it for the NFC! He gives the credit to his Pro Bowl coach, Eli Manning, who agrees.

7:22 p.m. — It'll be Mayfield and Stroud, the South division standouts, in the finals.

7:18 p.m. — Mayfield will move on after Jalen Hurts tries to go big and comes up short with a competition-low 17 points.

7:14 p.m. — Minshew can't sustain a strong start and leaves Stroud's 26 as the AFC's score to beat.

7:12 p.m. — Geno Smith posts a 20, so Mayfield's 24 is still the NFC's score to beat.

7:07 p.m. — After posting a 24, Baker Mayfield gets asked about his "dad bod" in an interview with Ryan Clark and jokes about his season-ending interception to Derrick Barnes. All in good fun at the Pro Bowl.
