Rob Gronkowski is a notorious party animal, with some of his exploits ending up on social media, so he definitely knows how to have a good time. But he wants to warn kids — do not eat laundry detergent.
Yes, there really is a new teen fad known as the "Tide Pod Challenge," which involves eating the colorful, plastic-wrapped packets of laundry detergent.
So the company released a public service announcement video on Twitter Friday, helpfully noting, "What should Tide PODs be used for? DOING LAUNDRY. Nothing else. Eating a Tide POD is a BAD IDEA."
In the video, Tide, asks, "Hey Gronk, is eating Tide Pods ever a good idea?"
The Patriots tight end responds: "No, no, no, no, no, no!" He then adds, "What the heck is going on, people? Use Tide Pods for washing, not eating. Do not eat."

The Tide Pod Challenge has become a trendy topic on social media, with young people posting videos of themselves eating the detergent and even sharing recipes.
All kidding aside about the Gronkowski video, the trend alarms public health officials. The National Capital Poison Center warns that eating detergent pods can cause “serious injury or even death.”
