Packers right tackle Bryan Bulaga has been activated off the physically unable to perform list, and is returning to the field for the first time since tearing his ACL in a game Nov. 6.
Coach Mike McCarthy announced the news Friday.
Bulaga progressed quickly following the surgery on his left knee and hoped to be cleared to play for the start of training camp, but team physician Patrick McKenzie wanted him to wait.

“He just passed his physical today, so Bryan Bulaga will practice in a limited return mode,” McCarthy said (via PackersNews.com). “I know he’s excited about the news that he got this morning from Dr. McKenzie."
Bulaga could be ready to play in Green Bay's preseason opener on Aug. 9.
The Packers' first-round pick (No. 23 overall) in 2010, Bulaga has started 81 of 85 career games for Green Bay. He also tore the ACL in his left knee in training camp during the 2013 preseason and missed the entire season.
