Odell Beckham Jr. famously vowed last year he wants to be the highest-paid NFL player when he signs his next deal.

Jimmy Garoppolo’s $27.5 million per year with the 49ers is the highest average in league history but if Beckham gets what he wants the Giants receiver won't be far behind.

According to NFL Media, Beckham wants at least $20 million per season in his next contract but the Giants might not be able to appease his demand.

Beckham, who said he plans to play zero snaps this upcoming preseason to prevent injury, had at least 90 catches, 1,200 yards and 10 touchdowns in each of his first three seasons but fell short this past year due to injury.

Beckham is set to earn $8.5 million in 2018, the final year of his rookie contract.

The Steelers made Antonio Brown the NFL's highest-paid receiver a little more than a year ago with an average annual value of $17 million. Texans receiver DeAndre Hopkins is second at $16.2 million.
