NFL Week 6: Odds, betting storylines to watch

This week features plenty of close matches, including the Thursday Night Football opener between the division-rival 49ers and Seahawks (SF -3). Tampa Bay and Atlanta mounted a similar divisional battle last Thursday, and the offenses of both San Francisco and Seattle have started hot this season. Still, the opening total of 47.5 seems a bit high given these teams both have strong defenses.

As for the Bears and Jaguars at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the UK (CHI -2.5), the early OVER of 43 seems very alluring. Chicago and Jacksonville both got wins in Week 5, while finishing with respective totals of 36 and 37 points in the process.

Coming off a bye week, the Eagles (-9) at home against the stumbling, bumbling Browns seems like the heavy favorite of the week. Cleveland can't seem to get anything going offensively, so a potentially back-to-healthy Philly squad could be big trouble for Deshaun Watson and company. The Texans (-7) in New England seems intriguing, too.

The shootout of the week could be reigning MVP Lamar Jackson and the Ravens against Rookie of the Year frontrunner Jayden Daniels and the Commanders (BAL -6.5, O/U 51.5). The defensive battle of the Sunday slate could be Broncos vs. Chargers in Denver (LAC -2.5, O/U 36.5).

A player prop we can't wait to drop: Mike Evans' receiving total. The man always gets up for Bucs-Saints games, as he and cornerback Marshon Lattimore have one of the better rivalries in today's NFL. Our money's on Evans to win the battle, as the future Hall-of-Famer is coming off a two-touchdown game and a mini-bye following the TNF game.

Be sure to check back often throughout the week as the action shifts and the lines change. And don't miss our best bets and top props, dropping Monday and updated daily until the weekend's games!
