The Bills got a key stop in the third quarter of their Saturday night game against the Dolphins when they brought Tyreek Hill down near midfield to force a fourth-and-10.
Buffalo was set to get the ball back after forcing Miami to punt for just the second time in the game.
However, the Dolphins ended up keeping the ball, thanks to a penalty by Bills defensive back Cam Lewis.

Lewis hit Miami punter Thomas Morestead well after Morestead got his kick off. Lewis wrapped up Morestead and brought him to the ground, resulting in a 15-yard personal foul penalty for roughing the punter instead of a 5-yard penalty for running into the punter.

The play gave the Dolphins a first down in Bills territory and already in field-goal range. Miami took advantage.
Tua Tagovailoa completed a 20-yard touchdown pass to Tyreek Hill to give Miami its first lead of the night, 26-21.

That’s one of the worst roughing the punter penalties you’ll ever see lol. Dude clobbered him

I can't think of a dumber penalty in sports than roughing the punter. Just an absolute morale destroyer.

If you’re gonna get called for roughing the punter you might as well drill the guy

That was an EGREGIOUS mistake by Cam Lewis... absolutely horrible

Wasn't even close to blocking that punt and commits a turnover by giving MIA the ball back on a roughing the punter flag
Completely unbelievable#GameDayThread #BillsMafia
You just can't make that penalty. Especially in this game and with this field position.

Cam Lewis needs to know better.
This isn't the first time Lewis has been involved in a play that proved costly to the Bills. He was the defender who had a shot to intercept or knock down Kirk Cousins' Hail Mary-type pass to Justin Jefferson on fourth-and-18 in the Bills' 33-30 loss to the Vikings earlier in the year.

Now, Lewis is left hoping that Buffalo can overcome his mistake in a way that they couldn't against Minnesota.
