The 2022 NFL trade deadline has passed, and it was one of the more active ones in recent NFL history.

The NFL had often expressed hope that moving the deadline to after Week 8 would spark trade action across the league. There had been speculation in previous seasons that a lot of action would come at the deadline, but there were rarely many big-time results.

But 2022 bucked the trend of the deadline being a rather uneventful in-season milestone for the league.

Overall, there were 10 trades agreed upon on trade deadline day. Not all of them involved marquee stars, but recognizable players like Bradley Chubb, Calvin Ridley, Chase Claypool and T.J. Hockenson were among those who will be wearing new uniforms in the coming weeks.

Still, that was a major uptick in overall trades from last year's deadline, which saw four relatively small deals agreed upon on the final day to trade plays.

Of course, there was also more action in the days before trade deadline day in 2022. Players like Christian McCaffrey, James Robinson, Robbie Anderson, Kadarius Toney, Robert Quinn and Roquan Smith were all sent to new teams in the two weeks leading up to the deadline.

That's not to say that every potential trade target was dealt. Kareem Hunt, Jerry Jeudy and Brandin Cooks all remained with their teams despite trade rumors. But still, there was a lot more movement than the NFL trade deadline usually sees, as teams looked to shape themselves into contenders.

Here is a full list of all the trades completed ahead of the 2022 NFL trade deadline.

NFL trade deadline 2022: Tracking the latest news, rumors

— 4:33 p.m. ET: One more: The Bills get backup safety Dean Marlowe from the Falcons for a seventh-round pick.

— 4:23 p.m. ET: And here's a buzzer-beating trade: the Chiefs are sending cornerback Rashad Fenton to the Falcons. Fenton began the season as a starter but was replaced after Kansas City's rookies, notably seventh-round pick Jaylen Watson, played well to begin the season. The Chiefs will get a conditional seventh-round pick in the trade and save $1.4 million against the cap.

— 4:16 p.m. ET: NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that the Packers "tried" to pull off a deal but couldn't make it happen.

— 4:07 p.m. ET: Here's the compensation in the Nyheim Hines to Buffalo trade, per Fox Sports' Jay Glazer.

— 4:05 p.m. ET: Neither Brandin Cooks nor Kareem Hunt were traded before the deadline. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport said that "there were talks" about Cooks, but he ultimately stayed put.

— 4:03 p.m. ET: Cam Akers wasn't traded before the deadline, but CBS Sports' Josina Anderson reports that he is seeking a "fair resolution" to his predicament with the Rams. Could that mean a release? We'll soon find out.

— 4:02 p.m. ET: The Panthers are "standing pat" on deadline day, per Albert Breer of The MMQB. They will be keeping DJ Moore and Brian Burns after trading Christian McCaffrey and Robbie Anderson.

— 4:01 p.m. ET: The NFL's trade deadline has officially passed. That said, deals can still trickle in after the 4 p.m. ET cut-off, so stay tuned in case any trades are announced after the buzzer.

— 3:57 p.m. ET: The Bills are making a trade after all. They are acquiring running back Nyheim Hines from the Colts. He will have a key role as a pass-catching back in the Buffalo offense.

— 3:55 p.m. ET: Five minutes until the 2022 NFL trade deadline passes. The Cowboys will not be making a trade before it does.

— 3:46 p.m. ET: We're getting to the point where we're getting confirmation that some players have not been traded. One such is Patriots receiver Kendrick Bourne, who Jordan Schultz of The Score reports will remain in New England.

— 3:39 p.m. ET: An update on the compensation in the William Jackson III trade — the Steelers are getting a conditional seventh-round pick while Washington will get a conditional sixth-round pick, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

— 3:20 p.m. ET: The Broncos are making a move to replace Bradley Chubb. They have acquired Jacob Martin from the Jets to add to their already solid-looking group of pass rushers. Martin has 15 sacks in 69 career games.

— 3 p.m. ET: We have another major trade, and this one is a surprise. The Jaguars acquired Calvin Ridley from the Falcons in exchange for "complex draft compensation." Ridley was suspended for the 2022 NFL season by the NFL for violating the league's gambling policy.

— 2:58 p.m. ET: The Dolphins have made another trade to help replace Chase Edmonds. They acquired Jeff Wilson Jr. from the 49ers for a fifth-round pick. Wilson has experience playing in Mike McDaniel's offense, as both were with the 49ers last season.

— 2:31 p.m. ET: An update on the Chubb compensation, the Broncos will get a first-round pick as part of the package for Chubb, but they will also get backup running back Chase Edmonds, who will play a role in Denver's backfield rotation.

— 2:26 p.m. ET: The Broncos are making a big trade. They are sending star pass rusher Bradley Chubb to the Dolphins in exchange for at least a first-round pick. Miami lost its own first-round pick due to a tampering investigation but had an extra first-round pick it acquired from San Francisco last year.

— 2:16 p.m. ET: The Steelers have made another trade. This time, they are acquiring a player, as former Washington cornerback William Jackson III will head to Pittsburgh.

— 2:14 p.m. ET: Lovie Smith was asked whether the Texans would trade Brandin Cooks after practice on Tuesday. He didn't take kindly to the query.

"What kind of question is that?" he said, per Aaron Wilson. "Brandin wasn't out there today. He was excused for personal reasons."

— 2:09 p.m. ET: Josina Anderson also reports that the Claypool deal had been on the table "for at least two weeks." As such, the Steelers wanted to get it done to eliminate the "distraction."

— 2:07 p.m. ET: The Bears getting Chase Claypool could prove to be a big blow for the Packers. CBS Sports' Josina Anderson reports that Green Bay was expected to have the best offer for Claypool before the Bears "swooped in."

— 2:01 p.m. ET: If an offensive tackle is traded ahead of the 2022 deadline, don't expect it to be Isaiah Wynn. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Patriots are planning to keep him.

— 1:57 p.m. ET: The Broncos appear willing to mull trade offers for star pass rusher Bradley Chubb, but it will take a lot to get him. ESPN's Dan Graziano reports that it would take a first-round pick and more for Denver to trade him.

— 1:33 p.m. ET: It appears as though the Bears have made a big move to help Justin Fields: Field Yates reports that the Bears have traded a second-round pick to the Steelers in exchange for Claypool, this a day after they moved on from Roquan Smith.

— 1:15 p.m. ET: Brandin Cooks is not at Texans practice on Wednesday, according to the Houston Chronicle. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the two sides are "exploring" trades that make sense for Cooks and the Texans. Ian Rapoport says that nothing is imminent, but calls have been made.

— 1:03 p.m. ET: An update on the Cam Akers front — Josina Anderson of CBS Sports reports that there is "no trade imminent" for the Rams running back. If he isn't traded, it will be interesting to see whether the Rams keep him, as they originally intended to do, or if they decide to cut him.

— 12:37 p.m. ET: This might not be the only move the Lions make, as Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reports. So, stay tuned...

— 12:25 p.m. ET: We have a trade. The Lions are trading tight end T.J. Hockenson to the Vikings for two draft picks, including a second-round selection in 2023.

— 12:07 p.m. ET: Albert Breer reported a few days ago that some NFL teams feel like a third-round pick in exchange for Chase Claypool could get a deal done. He listed the Packers as a potential suitor for Claypool amid Aaron Rodgers' troubles connecting with his receivers.

— 12:01 p.m. ET: It's still quiet on the trade front. Could something happen? Surely, but no moves have been completed with less than four hours left until the deadline.

— 11:32 a.m. ET: Cam Akers is eagerly awaiting the deadline to see if he will be traded. The Rams running back took to Twitter to voice his frustration with his benching over the last couple of weeks.

— 11:20 a.m. ET: The Chiefs are evidently looking to bolster their pass rush. They have reportedly called the Jaguars to check on the availability of Josh Allen (the edge rusher, not the quarterback).

Last year, the Chiefs traded for Melvin Ingram before the deadline. Allen would be a much bigger move, but the acquisition would prove more costly, too.

— 11:10 a.m. ET: It looks like William Jackson III's time in Washington is over. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reports that the Commanders are expected to release him if they can't trade him before the 4 p.m. ET trade deadline.

Jackson was once a big-ticket free agent acquisition but didn't pan out in Washington. Perhaps he could return to the Bengals, who find themselves in need of a cornerback with Chidobe Awuzie hurt. Jackson was a strong outside starter during his time in Cincinnati.

—10:55 a.m. ET: ESPN's Jeremy Fowler is now also reporting that the Rams offered two first-round picks in exchange for Brian Burns. He also includes that the Rams tried to make Cam Akers a part of their package, which was rejected.

—10:26 a.m. ET: ESPN's John Keim reports that William Jackson III is the only player that the Commanders are realistically expecting to potentially trade. That means Antonio Gibson and Curtis Samuel are likely staying put.

— 10:17 a.m. ET: The Panthers are reportedly receiving "a lot" of interest in Brian Burns and DJ Moore ahead of the trade deadline. However, the team is not planning to trade either player, per Charlotte Sports Live's Will Kunkel.

— 10:14 a.m. ET: The Bills are reportedly "asking around on running backs" as the trade deadline draws nearer, but "price and fit have to make sense," per Matt Lombardo. Kareem Hunt and Nyheim Hines are two options who would make sense for Buffalo.

— 10:01 a.m. ET: Jerry Jones doesn't believe that the Cowboys will make a move before the NFL trade deadline, but he wasn't ready to rule it out either.

"Better chance of nothing happening than of something happening," Jones said, per Jon Machota. "I’m standing by the track, and when the train comes by, I’m ready to hit that caboose and not let it get by me. I can grab that caboose in the next few hours."

— 9:52 a.m. ET: Brian Burns is one of the Panthers' best players, and it will take a lot for the team to consider moving him. Albert Breer reports that the Rams have offered two first-round picks for his services.

— 8:44 a.m. ET: PFF's Doug Kyed reports that the Bears have called the Patriots about wide receiver Kendrick Bourne.

— 8:05 a.m. ET: As Kareem Hunt's future remains undecided, the veteran running back is ready to embrace whatever comes for him, as he explained after Cleveland's 32-13 win over Cincinnati on "Monday Night Football."

"I mean, I'm down for whatever, man," Hunt said, per NFL.com. "I'm a football player and this is a business. So I'm ready to do whatever they decide with me. That's either go somewhere else or here, anything it don't matter. I love the game of football."

— Oct. 31: One veteran that doesn't seem likely to be moved is Texans edge rusher Jerry Hughes. The 34-year-old could help a playoff-caliber team's pass rush, as he has five sacks this season, but as Jordan Schultz of The Score reports, he wants to stay close to his family in Houston.

— Oct. 31: More on the Nyheim Hines front — ESPN's Stephen Holder reports that "odds are good" that Hines will be traded ahead of the trade deadline.

— Oct. 31: There's another running back on the trade market. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that teams are asking about Colts running back Nyheim Hines, who is an excellent receiver out of the backfield.

— Oct. 31: Could the Eagles trade for Kareem Hunt? Fox Sports' Ralph Vacchiano says to "keep an eye" on Philadelphia as a potential suitor for Hunt. That would be a repeat of what the team did ahead of the 2017 trade deadline, when they acquired former Dolphins running back Jay Ajayi. The Eagles went on to win the Super Bowl that year.

— Oct. 31: Getting Brandin Cooks out of Houston will be no easy feat. NFL reporter Dov Kleiman notes that the Texans won't consider trading Cooks for anything less than a second-round pick. ESPN's Adam Schefter noted that the Giants, Rams and Vikings are potential fits for the veteran receiver.

— Oct. 31: ESPN's Jordan Raanan reports that the Giants are interested in Jerry Jeudy. However, he isn't sure whether New York would be willing to pony up and pay the price the Broncos want for the 2020 first-round pick.

— Oct. 31: The Bears traded linebacker Roquan Smith, who requested a trade prior to the season, to the Ravens for LB A.J. Klein, a 2023 second rounder and a 2023 fifth rounder.

— Oct. 31: Jaguars pass rusher Josh Allen has reportedly been targeted by several teams, per Jordan Schultz. According to Schultz, the Jaguars would ideally like to keep their star, who is in the midst of another excellent season.

— Oct. 31: For the second year in a row, the Broncos are having one of their best pass rushers coveted. According to Peter King, the Dolphins and Jets are seeking Bradley Chubb amidst the Broncos' struggles, as an arms race below the Bills has suddenly opened in the AFC East.

— Oct. 30: The Rams are still looking to trade Cam Akers ahead of the deadline, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that if they can't offload him, he will remain with the team.

— Oct. 30: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Texans are "open" to trading wide receiver Brandin Cooks. A trade would mark the fourth of Cooks' career, an unusually high amount for an NFL player.

— Oct. 30: NFL Network reports that the Broncos are listening to offers on Bradley Chubb, Jerry Jeudy and KJ Hamler. However, other teams believe that Chubb is the most likely to move if Denver does make a trade.

— Oct. 30: The Bills have called the Saints about running back Alvin Kamara, per Fox Sports' Jay Glazer. The Saints were sitting at 2-5 ahead of their Week 8 tilt with the Raiders but are still in the running for the division crown in the weak NFC South.

— Oct. 30: ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the Browns are "willing to grant Kareem Hunt's trade request." NFL Network reports that he will be the top running back available on the market, but Cleveland won't just trade him to trade him to trade him.
