NFL trade rumors: Jets to acquire guard Kelechi Osemele from Raiders image

The Jets bolstered their offensive line Sunday, agreeing to acquire left guard Kelechi Osemele from the Raiders, according to ESPN.

According to the report, the Jets will send a fifth-round pick in the upcoming NFL draft to Oakland in exchange for the Raiders' sixth-round pick.

Osemele, 29, is a two-time Pro Bowl selection (2016-17) who could provide an upgrade on New York's offensive line. The Jets ranked 29th in the NFL last season in yard per rush (4.0). Osemele would replace James Carpenter, a pending free agent.

Although he missed five games last season with knee and toe injuries, Osemele recently vowed on social media to have a bounce-back season.

Osemele still has two years under contract.

Meanwhile, the Raiders continue to remake their roster under head coach Jon Gruden. Saturday, Oakland agreed to acquire All-Pro wide receiver Antonio Brown from the Steelers.

Pending trades do not become official until the new NFL year begins Wednesday.
