Jets coach Todd Bowles said the problem was not related to the neck injury that sidelined Enunwa all of last season.
The 26-year-old Enunwa had a breakout campaign in 2016, with 58 catches for 857 yards and four TDs. But he was limited in spring practice as he recovered from the neck problem, and the injured thumb will further delay his preparation for 2018.
