The NFL Combine isn't the only time team executives and personnel can get an up-close look at the top prospects.
Sometimes, it's actually more beneficial for teams to scout players at their respective pro days.
Most of the top college football programs will schedule a pro day for their athletes heading into the NFL Draft. It allows teams to focus on the select few players at said program compared to the hundreds of participants at the combine.

Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr., and Jayden Daniels are some of the top names that will perform at their school's respective pro days in March. These three didn't participate at the combine, so this will be their first up-close evaluation.
It's not uncommon for players to skip the combine in favor of a pro day. Players can perform in a familiar setting without the overbearing crowd of reporters, scouts, and other prospects.

How to watch NFL Pro Days
NFL Network has broadcast some of the top pro days in previous years, but there isn't a TV schedule out yet.
Biggest storylines to watch
1. The Big 12 to host its first conference-wide pro day
The Big 12 is revolutionizing how pro days are held. It will host a majority of the conference between March 27-30 at the Dallas Cowboys headquarters and practice facility. Texas will have its own NFL pro day on March 20.
Quarterbacks, running backs, wide receivers, tight ends, and defensive backs will compete on March 27 and 28, while the lineman will perform on March 29 and 30.
Some notable prospects attending will be T.J. Tamps from Iowa State and Tyler Guyton from Oklahoma.
2. Which quarterbacks will throw?
Top-ranked quarterbacks are typically the most common players to skip the NFL Combine in favor of a pro day.
That's no different this year, as three of the top quarterbacks opted out of drills in Indianapolis. Caleb Williams, Drake Maye, and Jayden Daniels will throw in front of scouts for the first time since college.
That being said, it's uncertain how much these prospects will do since they may feel like they don't have much to prove.

3. Xavier Worthy's draft stock
Worthy may have been the biggest star at the NFL Combine. His 4.21 40-yard dash broke the all-time record.
He was previously ranked as a mid-second round pick in Sporting News' mock draft; however, he might get first-round consideration following his combine performance.
Worthy posted 75 catches for 1,014 yards, and five touchdowns this past season at Texas.
