Mariota left the Titans’ 27-20 loss to the Dolphins last weekend in the third quarter after injuring his elbow when he was hit by a defensive lineman.
Mariota briefly stayed in the game but said he lost feeling in his fingers, which led to a pair of interceptions. He was 9 of 16 for 103 yards before being replaced by Gabbert.
Vrabel said Wednesday he thought Mariota would be “good to go” against Houston.
Gabbert threw for 117 yards with an interception in the Week 1 loss.
