The Bears have signed offensive right tackle Bobby Massie to a four-year contract extension through 2022, the team announced Saturday.
Massie, 29, was drafted by the Cardinals in the fourth round in 2012 and signed with the Bears in 2016. He has started all but two of his 48 games with Chicago and was a key element of an offensive line that allowed the eighth-fewest sacks in the NFL in 2018 (33).

Massie tweeted that he is "proud and excited to stay a part of the legacy that is the Chicago Bears. Now let's get this ring."
The Bears won the NFC North in 2018 for the first time since 2010 before losing in the first round of the playoffs to the Eagles 16-15 on a missed field goal attempt in the game's final seconds.

“Bobby has been an important part of our offensive line the past three years and has shown steady improvement during that time,” general manager Ryan Pace said. “Bobby has a tremendous work ethic and has displayed the kind of toughness and consistency we want in our players. More importantly, he is a great teammate and we’re excited to keep him in the fold.”
The Bears now have all but one of their 22 starters — safety Adrian Amos, who can become an unrestricted free agent in March — under contract.
