Hall of Fame quarterback Brett Favre is being sued for $16.75 million in damages as investors claim he misled them into investing in a doomed social networking company, The Blast reports.

Callais Capital Management (CCM), a Louisiana-based firm, accuse Favre of “negligent and fraudulent misrepresentations” regarding the now-defunct company Sqor Sports, a social network that would compile the social media profiles of top athletes into one place.

CCM alleges that Favre promised massive profits and led the firm to invest in the company’s “immediate international growth.” However, the company folded in 2017 after projecting as much as $44 million in profits in 2018.

Favre also allegedly said Sqor had agreements in place with the NFL Players Association, Conor McGregor, Rob Gronkowski, Odell Beckham Jr., Allen Iverson and others.
