Fantasy football 2018 draft or avoid: Broncos finally have competent QB image

As the 2018 fantasy football draft season approaches, we will showcase a player to draft and a player to avoid from all 32 teams.

The Broncos have missed the playoffs each of the last two seasons after winning the Super Bowl in 2015, but the arrival of Case Keenum could finally get the offense back on track.

Broncos head coach Vance Joseph should have the defense in order, but it will be up to Keenum and a wide receiving corps hungry for accuracy to lead this team back to the playoffs.

Here is a player to draft and avoid from the Broncos in fantasy this season:

Draft:

Demaryius Thomas, WR — Thomas' career could have been special had the Broncos provided him with consistent quarterback play. Still, the 6-3 red-zone threat has put up big numbers. He had a little less than 1,000 yards and five touchdowns last season, and could double his scores this year with Keenum under center.

Thomas is one of the sleepers in fantasy this year. He likely won't go in the first two rounds due to past form, but he could finish the year among the top-5 receivers. He's a solid second-round pick in any fantasy format.

Avoid:

Devontae Booker, RB — As a rookie last season, Booker earned a couple starts, but struggled to find holes. He rushed for just 299 yards and a touchdown on 79 carries (3.8 ypc average). He should lead the backfield this season, but could have a short leash.

Booker has also battled injuries issues, making him a risky pick inside the top-6 rounds. He is more valuable in PPR leagues due to his solid hands, but he's hard to count on this season.
