Kentucky will lose an important star to the 2019 NFL Draft.
Junior running back Benny Snell has been leading the ground attack of the Wildcats for three years, but now he's ready to play at the next level as he declared for the draft on Friday.
Recently, NFL prospects have decided to skip out on bowl games to preserve their health and protect their draft stock, but Snell plans on finishing out this season with his teammates, playing alongside them in the Citrus Bowl on Jan. 1. Kentucky will take on Penn State, and Snell wants to help the Wildcats finish on a high note.

“I have unfinished business. Whatever I start, I make sure I finish. I got one more chance to wear that uniform. Bet I make it count,” Snell said, via Kentucky.com.
In his three seasons at Kentucky, Snell has amassed 3,729 rushing yards and 46 touchdowns. If he rushes for 107 yards or more in the Citrus Bowl, he'll surpass Wildcats legend Sonny Collins on the school's all-time rushing list.
