Jets general manager Mike Maccagnan has admitted he's considering trading down from the No. 3 overall pick in next week's NFL Draft.
Now comes a report that the Jets are "determined" to trade that pick.

"They seem to really, really want to move down," an unidentified NFL executive told SNY. "Maybe they're just keeping their options open, but it sure seems like that No. 3 pick is for sale."
According to the report, which cites multiple unidentified NFL sources, Maccagnan wants to at least recoup one of the three second-round picks he gave up last year when the Jets traded up in the draft to select quarterback Sam Darnold.
The Jets have several areas of concern they might address in the draft, which begins Thursday. They need help at wide receiver, an edge rusher and a shut-down cornerback. Obviously, whether or not they trade the pick on draft day depends on how the first two picks play out. If Ohio State edge rusher Nick Bosa is somehow still available at No. 3, Maccagnan might find him impossible to pass up.
Then again, if Oklahoma quarterback and Heisman winner Kyler Murray miraculously is still around when the Jets are on the board, Maccagnan could probably strike a sweetheart deal with a desperate team.
The Jets, of course, were that desperate team last year, when they gave up their first-round pick (No. 6 overall) and three second-rounders (two this year, one next year), to move up just three spots to select Darnold at No. 3 overall.
