The Super Bowl took place less than three weeks ago, but the NFL offseason is about to be in full swing. It unofficially starts this weekend in Indianapolis.
While free agency is on the mind of many fans, the NFL Draft likely represents the best opportunity this spring for each franchise to shape its future. The future of the league will be putting on a show for front offices at the NFL Combine, with hundreds of prospects aiming to improve their stock ahead of April's draft.
LIVE NFL COMBINE: 40 times tracker | Full list of measurements
A handful of top prospects won't be participating in on-field drills, including Caleb Williams, Marvin Harrison Jr. and Jayden Daniels. While that might take away some of the combine's allure, it does open the door for other prospects to steal the spotlight and make a lasting impression on scouts.
From Brock Bowers and Rome Odunze to J.J. McCarthy and Joe Alt, there are plenty of high-impact future NFL players showcasing their athleticism at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Saturday, March 2
6:42 p.m.: Xavier Worthy officially set the NFL Combine record for the fastest 40-yard dash.
The Texas wide receiver posted a time of 4.21 seconds, beating the previous best of 4.22 set by John Ross in 2017.
The sprint garnered reactions from Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and more big names across the NFL.

6:00 p.m.: Brenden Rice, son of star NFL wide receiver Jerry Rice, ran a 4.51 in the 40-yard dash — and his dad was there to see it.
While Jerry Rice didn't have an official 40 time from the 1985 NFL Draft, his son likely beat him.

4:44 p.m.: Joe Milton can throw the long ball. The Tennessee quarterback showcased Josh Allen-like arm strength in the downfield passing drills and uncorked a few passes of more than 70 yards.
4:58 p.m.: Michigan quarterback J.J. McCarthy had a few miscues, but he also showed off his power as one of the highest-profile quarterbacks to participate in drills at the combine.
3:45 p.m.: An impressive showing by Luke McCaffrey sees him bypass his older brother, Christian, for fastest McCaffrey in the family. He posted a 4.47s 50, .02 seconds faster than CMC.
Looks like @mccaffrey_luke just beats out his brother @CMC_22 in the 40 👀

3:30 p.m.: QBs and WRs stream onto the field. A special mention for Sam Hartman, who was the only hurler to take part in the 40-yard dash on Saturday. It was a glorious showing, his hair billowing across the Indiana wind.

1:40 p.m.: The tailback who impressed the most during the 40 looks to be Louisville talent Isaac Guerendo. He strutted through the mire in a blazing 4.33s time. By far the best run of the day among running backs. He's made quite the impression among NFL scouts today.

1:20 p.m.: RB prospects making their marks at Lucas Oil Field thus far. A particularly decent showing for Michigan standout Blake Corum, who clocked in with a 4.53s 40 time. It's not an exceptional time, admittedly. But it feels like a win for the shifty tailback, who shows he's got some liveliness in his legs despite a fairly stout frame.

12:55 p.m.: Neither of LSU's top prospects — quarterback Jayden Daniels and wide receiver Malik Nabers — participated in measurements with their position groups at the 2024 NFL Combine. They will instead wait until their Pro Day on March 27 to provide NFL teams with measurements.
As is their choice, LSU QB Jayden Daniels and WR Malik Nabers opted not to take part in the measurements portion of the Combine with their respective position groups this morning.
— Field Yates (@FieldYates) March 2, 2024
Daniels will do his measurements at LSU’s Pro Day on March 27th, as would be expected for Nabers…
Friday, March 1
8:24 p.m.: Georgia star TE Brock Bowers was at the Combine but he will not be working out, NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported.
#Georgia TE Brock Bowers will not be working out at the Combine, it was just announced here at Lucas Oil.
— Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 2, 2024
6 p.m.: Nate Wiggins blazed the fastest 40 time of the combine so far, clocking a 4.28 in the drill. He did that despite getting injured during it and opting out of the rest of the combine, so it's safe to say that the Clemson product is fast.
Oh my, Nate Wiggins. 4.29u. Wow.
