Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch has been slapped with a $12,000 fine by the NFL for an objectionable gesture he made during Oakland’s win against the Titans last Sunday, ESPN.com reports.

Perhaps Lynch is walking away with a light punishment. Technically, it was two objectionable gestures — as in extending both his middle fingers simultaneously for the CBS audience to see.

The incident happened in the fourth quarter of Oakland’s 26-16 victory at Tennessee. Lynch, in his first game as a Raider, carried the ball 18 times for 76 yards and caught a pass for another 16 yards.

While Lynch is slated to make as much as $2.5 million this season, he’s known to be a frugal man, and hey, 12 grand is 12 grand.

The Raiders are two-touchdown favorites at home against the Jets on Sunday.
