Madden 22 ratings: Which NFL teams have the best offenses to use? image

"Madden NFL 22" is here, and you probably want to get an edge on your opponent by using the best team possible.

If you're an offensive-minded player, that means you want to play with the best offense in the game. While there are plenty of solid teams, there is one team that stands out above the rest when it comes to offense. And you can probably already guess which team that is.

Although not everyone wants to play with the absolute best offense. Some people prefer to play with a team that fits their play style. For example, if you enjoy playing with a mobile quarterback then you're going to opt for the Ravens and Lamar Jackson instead of the high-powered Bucs with an immobile Tom Brady.

Below, we'll list every team by their Madden launch rating, and then break down the top five.

Best offenses to use in Madden 22

The Chiefs (96), Bucs (92) and Packers (91) are the only teams at Madden 22's launch with offenses above 90 overall. The Chiefs have two of the five total players rated 99 overall or higher, and have another offense star at 98, which heavily influences that overall score. The Bucs aren't as top heavy, but still have plenty of stars that drive them over 90 overall.

Top 5 offenses in Madden 22

Kansas City Chiefs — 96

The Chiefs are one of the most-used teams in online play because of how dominant this offense is. Kansas City almost has three 99 overall players in the strong trio of Patrick Mahomes (99), Travis Kelce (99) and Tyreek Hill (98). The combination of Mahomes' arm strength (97 THP) and Hill's speed (99 SPD) is almost unfair at times.

To make matters worse for people playing against the Chiefs, Kansas City also has Mecole Hardman (97 SPD) who is tied as the third-fastest player in the game.

The top offensive player outside of the main trio is running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire, who has a solid 84 overall rating. Only two other players top 80 overall in the Chiefs offense and they are left guard Joe Thuney (84 OVR) and left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. (82 OVR).

Tampa Bay Buccaneers — 92

Tom Brady leads the way with his 97 overall rating. While the Bucs don't have quite a strong trio of players as the Chiefs, they have more players with 80+ overall ratings. Brady has a number of weapons to throw to including Mike Evans (91 OVR), Chris Godwin (87 OVR), Antonio Brown (86 OVR) and Rob Gronkowski (86 OVR). Plus, Tampa Bay has three good running backs in Ronald Jones (81), Leonard Fournette (78) and Giovani Bernard (77).

The Bucs have some strong offensive line help as well with Ali Marpet (90 OVR), Ryan Jensen (89 OVR) and Tristan Wirfs (89 OVR). Overall, the Bucs have 10 players 80 overall or higher compared to the Chiefs who have six.

Green Bay Packers — 91

The Packers were one of the most used teams in online play last year because of their strong duo in Aaron Rodgers (96 OVR) and Davante Adams (99 OVR). Green Bay also has a better rushing game than the Chiefs or Bucs with Aaron Jones' 91 overall rating. The Packers ended up being a popular team because they had a nice middle ground of what makes the Chiefs and Bucs appealing. The Chiefs' offense is top notch, but Kansas City has a 78 rating on defense. The Bucs have a strong offense and defense, but a lot of users don't like playing with Brady's slow speed. While Rodgers isn't the fastest quarterback, he at least has some mobility to move around in the pocket.

The Packers' offense is somewhat similar to the Chiefs in that it's top-heavy with its trio. Although instead of a strong tight end, the Packers have a strong running back.

Cleveland Browns — 89

The Browns are a great team if you're more of a run-focused player. While the Browns do have some nice passing options in Odell Beckham Jr. (89 OVR), Jarvis Landry (84 OVR) and Austin Hooper (86 OVR), they really shine with Nick Chubb (96 OVR) and Kareem Hunt (87 OVR). Also, four of their five offensive linemen have 80 overall ratings or higher, and the fifth is just outside of that range at 79 OVR.

The weak spot, at least compared to the Chiefs, Bucs and Packers, is quarterback Baker Mayfield who comes in at 84 overall. He's not awful, but he doesn't offer elite mobility or elite passing, so it's hard to settle on him if you're looking to be a pass-heavy user.

Dallas Cowboys — 88

The Cowboys are somewhat similar to the Bucs in the sense that they have a lot of talent spread out. Dallas has one of the better offensive lines in the game, with three of the five starters coming in at 98 overall, 91 overall and 87 overall. Dallas has a strong receiving trio in Amari Cooper (92 OVR), Michael Gallup (82 OVR) and CeeDee Lamb (81 OVR).

Dak Prescott is a strong 87 overall, although his 82 speed feels a little low. Also in the high 80s is running back Ezekiel Elliott (88 OVR). Even backup running back Tony Pollard (77 OVR) has some appeal with his 93 speed rating. The Cowboys have a really strong offense, but one thing that might scare people away from using Dallas is too much is their 76 team defense rating, the lowest of the teams in the top five offenses.

Other notes

The Titans' offense falls just outside of the top five with an 87 overall rating. They're somewhat similar to the Cowboys in the sense that they have a lot of talent, especially with their starting RB-WR-WR unit featuring Derrick Henry, Julio Jones and AJ Brown. And Ryan Tannehill's 87 overall rating really tops things off.

Further down on the list are the Ravens and Cardinals (9th and 10th). While their overalls are lower than some of the elite teams, these two teams are ones I could see myself playing with more than some of the other top 10 teams. For the Ravens, Lamar Jackson's 96 speed is so strong that you almost don't need any other offensive players. But Baltimore also has Marquise Brown (97 SPD).

The Cardinals are fun for a similar reason. Although Kyler Murray is slower (91 SPD), he's still the second-fastest quarterback in the game and has better weapons around him. Arizona features DeAndre Hopkins (98 OVR), and plenty of speedsters in Rico Gafford (96 SPD), Andy Isabella (95 SPD) and Rondale Moore (94 SPD). If you're a player who thinks speed is the only factor that matters in Madden, then the Cardinals are a team for you.
