The Lions close out the season against the Vikings before they make their first postseason appearance since 2016.
Detroit already clinched the NFC North title and cannot finish any worse than a third seed for the playoffs.
Nonetheless, coach Dan Campbell confirmed that the starters will play the finale against Minnesota.
Detroit is coming off a controversial 20-19 loss to the Cowboys in Week 17. The Lions thought they had taken the lead when Jared Goff converted a 2-point conversation to lineman Taylor Decker, but he was ruled to be an ineligible receiver.
Detroit eventually failed on a third attempt and Dallas escaped with the victory.
The Lions have reached 4,000 passing yards and 2,000 rushing yards for the second season in a row, which is also the only times they have reached those marks.
Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown leads Detroit with 112 receptions for 1,371 yards and 10 touchdowns on the season.
The Vikings are in the midst of a three-game losing streak, but they are still mathematically alive for the postseason.
To make the playoffs, Minnesota needs to beat the Lions and Arizona to win against Seattle; Chicago to beat Green Bay; Atlanta to win at New Orleans; or, Carolina to take down Tampa Bay
Minnesota is coming off a 33-10 setback to Green Bay in Week 17 where the Vikings allowed 470 yards of total offense.
The Vikings have switched quarterbacks five times since Kirk Cousins tore his Achilles tendon against Green Bay on Oct. 29.
