The Lions released guard T.J. Lang Friday morning, leaving the the two-time Pro Bowl guard's future uncertain.
But the 31-year-old veteran had some fun on Twitter after the Lions made the announcement, tweeting out a meme, "HOW YOU GOING TO GET FIRED ON YOUR DAY OFF," the meme read. Lang prefaced the meme with, "Gotta have a little fun right? Love you @lions."

Lang, who played his first eight seasons in Green Bay, had indicated he would be open to returning to Detroit for a third season at a lesser salary in 2019. But according to the Detroit Free Press, the team did not discuss that option with Lang.
"We would like to personally thank T.J. Lang for his two seasons with the Lions," general manager Bob Quinn and coach Matt Patricia said in a team statement. "He represented everything you could want from a football player and team captain. … We wish T.J. and his family all the best in the future.”
Lang, a native of the Detroit suburb of Royal Oak, missed time the past two seasons due to concussions, and has had at least six concussions in his career, according to the Free Press. He had said after last season he was considering retirement.
“I think that’s something that obviously takes some time to ponder and think about and talk about,” Lang said. “I think everybody wants to have a chance to go out on their own terms, and I’m no different. I’m not going to make a decision one way or the other anytime soon.”
Lang's release frees up $11.7 million in cap space for the Lions.
