After notching their first playoff win since 1992, the Lions will attempt to carry that momentum into the divisional round when they meet the Buccaneers in Detroit.

In the wild-card round, Jared Goff and the Lions outdueled former Detroit quarterback Matthew Stafford and the Rams, sending the home crowd into a frenzy. Goff threw for 277 yards and a touchdown in a tight 24-23 victory, and running backs David Montgomery and Jahmyr Gibbs each found their way to the end zone.

Tampa Bay's first postseason contest wasn't nearly as competitive. The Buccaneers throttled the Eagles, running away with a 32-9 win. Baker Mayfield torched Philadelphia for 337 yards and three touchdowns, and a blitzing Tampa Bay defense harassed Jalen Hurts all night long.

The Lions will be looking for a repeat performance after defeating the Bucs in Week 6, but Tampa Bay wants to get some revenge. Which team will prevail?

Lions vs. Buccaneers weather forecast

According to The Weather Channel forecast, the high in Detroit will be 23 degrees, while the low will be 13 degrees.

Of course, as Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles recently reminded a reporter, the weather will not be a factor in this game. Ford Field is a domed stadium, so the players should be quite comfortable.

"We're indoors, and we only have to be outside for 20 seconds, getting off the bus and going into [the stadium]," Bowles said. "So, we'll be OK."

Lions vs. Buccaneers playoff history

This will be just the second playoff game between the Lions and Buccaneers. Tampa Bay eliminated Detroit in a wild-card game back in 1997, then fell to Green Bay in the divisional round.
