Bills running back LeSean McCoy did not start Sunday's game against the Patriots, and he blames himself for creating a "situation" that led coach Sean McDermott to bench him.

"Coach, we had a situation, and he was totally right," McCoy said (via ESPN). "It was a private situation. I'm a captain and I gotta be more accountable. Simple as that. He checked me, put me in place. That was it."
The move was purely symbolic. McCoy replaced starter Keith Ford on Buffalo's second offensive play. However, he never got on track, gaining only nine yards on six carries in the 24-12 loss.
The 30-year-old running back has only 479 rushing yards and two touchdowns in 13 games this season.
