Tiki torched.
Former Giants running back Tiki Barber reentered the national consciousness after firing off barbs towards Saquon Barkley for having the audacity of signing with New York's divisional rival, the Eagles.
Speaking with New York-based radio show WFAN, Barber affirmed his desire to forget Barkley's six-season tenure with the Giants happened at all. Instead, he claimed that Barkley's affiliation with the franchise was all a dream...or rather, a nightmare.
"You're dead to us, Saquon. Good luck, you're dead to me," Barber said on WFAN radio Monday, albeit with a laugh.

It seems those around the NFL took notice, including reigning league MVP Lamar Jackson, who decided that he wanted to recite the monologue any time a former Ravens teammate skipped town.
Jackson's first victim was Geno Stone. After reeling in seven interceptions in Baltimore last year, Stone took his talents to Cincinnati, signing a two-year, $15 million deal with the Bengals.
Jackson was less than pleased, taking to X, the website formerly known as Twitter, to express his "displeasure."
@GenoStone22 You’re Dead to us, You’re Dead to me‼️ https://t.co/rbvt1qLmmo

On Tuesday, Jackson went back to the well. He repeated Barber's famous phrase, this time directing it toward Pro Bowler Patrick Queen, who swapped Charm City for the Steel City after agreeing to a three-year contract with the Steelers. In this version, Jackson opted to pair Barber's motto with a meme of a suspicious SpongeBob Squarepants. For those who weren't sure if this was a joke, this tweet was for you.

Jackson has never been shy about his social media usage. From the "Free Kodak" campaign to "Johnny", Jackson is one of the league's more savvy Tweeters. He reaffirmed that stature during this year's free agency carousel. And for that, we're grateful.
