It's one of the most intriguing questions entering this season — how will the Arizona Cardinals' new wide-open offense perform?

Anyone expecting an answer during the preseason will be disappointed. Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray played only 10 snaps in the preseason opener against the Chargers, and although he'll play more than one series against the Raiders on Thursday, don't expect the Cardinals to roll out their full offensive array until the regular season begins.

Murray played well in that one series in the opener, completing 6-of-7 passes for 44 yards. As noted countless times, Murray is intimately familiar with first-year coach Kliff Kingsbury's up-tempo, prolific passing attack he brought from the college ranks. Murray ran a similar system at Oklahoma.

So Murray is not worried about a lack of preseason reps hurting the offense as it learns how to operate.

"I know it'll work against teams," Murray said Monday. "It's hard to prepare for what we will do when the season comes."

Veteran wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald praised Murray the first week of training camp, saying, “I’ve never seen a quarterback come in so quickly and be able to command an offense. … His understanding of the offense is crazy."

So Murray, the No. 1 pick in the NFL Draft, is ready to go in Kingsbury's wide-open attack.

"I think when we get out there full speed moving around, it'll be good," Murray said. "I know what it looks like. I know how it works. It's tough to stop. At any level I think it'd be tough to stop."
