And this year's contest brings plenty of intrigue with expectations high for both teams. The Jets have their eyes on competing for a Super Bowl, while the Giants look to build on an impressive playoff run in Brian Daboll's rookie season as head coach.
On the field, Aaron Rodgers will take his first snaps in a game for the Jets, while the Giants hope their offense can keep humming along.
It's the first of two matchups between the teams that share a building in the swamps of New Jersey — with the other being a regular-season showdown on Halloween weekend. For now, each side will take the bragging rights that come with winning the game, but both would trade anything to make it through Saturday night's preseason finale healthy.
